Westland Horticulture, home to market leading brands such as Jack’s Magic, Boost, Resolva, and Peckish, has unveiled its latest innovation: a new Bug Control Spray designed specifically for houseplants.
This dual-action formula not only kills pests and protects plants from future infestations, but also boosts their foliar nutrients, making it easier than ever to keep an indoor jungle thriving. The UK is a nation of houseplant lovers, with the average home nurturing 6 to 7 houseplants*. Yet almost half (48%**) of us worry about keeping them alive, and a common bug bear is pest infestations. Left unchecked, common bugs like fungus gnats and mealybugs can compromise a plant’s health, and become a nuisance indoors.
Now, Westland has the answer. Developed in collaboration with professional growers, the new Westland Houseplant Bug Control Spray is safe to use around children and pets and comes in a convenient ready-to-use spray bottle. It works by physically immobilising pests on contact, without the use of traditional pesticides, and begins protecting plants immediately.
At the same time, it supports plant vitality, boosting their foliar nutrients and leaf shine, as well as reducing vulnerability to future infestations.
Holly Clancy, Brand Manager, for Indoor at Westland, commented: “The UK has truly embraced indoor gardening, and it’s estimated that there are over 300 million houseplants in homes across the UK. Our new bug control spray offers an effective, family-safe solution to one of the most common houseplant challenges, and even helps plants to strengthen their own defences, preventing future pest attacks.”
The new Westland Bug Control Spray can be purchased from many good garden centres.
